As a proud native of Texas, Michele Y. Garza was born in Victoria and was raised in the Dallas area. Her interest in the law came naturally, as she spent many days growing up in the law office of her father. It was there that she learned the importance of the law and the impact that an attorney can have on the lives of those in need. When it came time for college, Michele decided to go to school locally, attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas so that she could remain close to her family and continue helping out at her father's law office.

She would eventually graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1991, with immediate plans to begin law school. After being accepted into the Oklahoma College of Law, Michele decided to leave the Dallas area and forge her own legal path separately from her father. While studying law in Oklahoma, Michele discovered an intense passion for not only the law but helping others pursue justice when faced with difficult circumstances. It was in law school that Michele decided to focus her efforts on the areas of family law and personal injury. When she graduated from the Oklahoma College of Law in 1995, she ventured out into the world of private practice, specializing in cases of personal injury, workers' compensation, and family law.

I understand that what you’re going through isn’t easy. I’m here to help you find a solution that’s best for you and your family.

After 10 years of working in private practice and serving clients across the state of Oklahoma, Michele felt a strong desire to return home to be closer to both her family and the community that played such a big part in the successful career she had built. So in 2009, Michele returned to the Dallas area to begin a private practice that centered around the two areas of law she'd always been drawn to the most -- family law and estate planning.

After returning to the area, she soon reunited with her younger brother Marc who had been practicing law in Dallas for several years. Together they formed the Garza Law Firm, LLLP to help the individuals and families of the community that raised the two of them growing up. Since 2011, Michele and her brother Marc have been committed to working with clients across the Dallas area to help resolve issues of family law, estate planning, and probate matters.

When she's not helping clients, Michele serves as a current member of the Animal Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. She's a former volunteer for the Dorothy O'Connor Pet Adoption Center in Victoria and currently volunteers for the Dallas-Fort Worth Cocker Spaniel Rescue Group. She is also a proud mom to two rescue dogs, Cassie and Jax.

Through it all, Michele continues to value her work as a dedicated attorney for individuals and families in and around the Dallas area. She believes that every client deserves compassion and respect, regardless of their circumstance, and strives to maintain open communication with every client from start to finish.
